Low-cost Medical Care

Every veteran should have access to affordable, quality health care. That’s why the VA is mandated to provide health care services to veterans who meet eligibility criteria. If you’re a veteran who completed his service without any issue, you may be eligible to access the VA Health Care. With VA medical benefits, you’re covered for regular medical care with your primary care provider. This means you don’t need to get additional coverage.

You may also be eligible for health programs, including treating certain medical conditions, regardless of enrollment status. Interestingly, some veterans qualify for both.

Other health benefits include:

  • Primary care
  • Preventive care services
  • Specialty care
  • Inpatient care
  • Prescriptions
  • Dental care
  • Vision care

Outside of the Department of Veteran Affairs, there are many health care entities that promote the well-being of veterans. This means there is variability in access to care and opportunities to improve access. When you get approved for VA health perks, you’ll pick one VA center for your medical care. If you choose Austin, we are here to help you. We can help you find a VA health care system, VA medical center, or an outpatient clinic in Austin. We will also guide you through the process of accessing low-cost medical care.
